Elena Falgione
Elena is 15 years old and has been singing for 9 of those years! Elena has always relished the spotlight and singing has kept her rightly in it. Singing is such a necessary part of her life that she says that she can't imagine her life without singing. Elena has sung for community events, for young people challenged with the spectre of cancer and seniors longing to enjoy Elena's incomparable voice. She brings joy to those who hear her and amazement when they learn how very young she is and how giving she is with her wonderful talent.
2006 saw Elena enter the Kean Idol Competition. Against competitors of all age groups and music education backgrounds, Elena won the coveted title of Kean Idol by singing "Think Of Me" from the hit Broadway show "Phantom Of The Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In 2007, Elena recorded at Grammy Award winning studio, Audible Images. Later in the year, she recorded at state-of-the-art recording studio, Pro Talent Studios, and continues to record her first compact disc entitled "With All My Heart."
2008 has been a breakout year for Elena. Her most important singing accomplishment this year was winning the Pittsburgh's Most Talented Teen competition. Sponsored by Pittsburgh’s own Greater Harmony Chorus chapter of Sweet Adelines International, invitations were sent out to music educators and directors throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding suburbs. From these invitations, 25 students competed for the final 5 spots. And, from those 5 gifted singers, Elena's stirring performance secured the Pittsburgh’s Most Talented Teen title. On November 19, 2008, Elena was acknowledged by her hometown of Shaler, PA, for her Pittsburgh's Most Talented Teen accolade.
In 2009, Elena won the Hilda M. Willis Arts Scholarship at Winchester-Thurston High School, and is continuing her musical and vocal studies.
